Terms for Grayfin's free tools

1. Who we are

Grayfin, the trade name of a Florida limited liability company (Florida document number L26000463152), Palm Coast, Florida. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Grayfin, and "you" means the person or business using one of our free tools.

2. What these terms cover

These terms cover Grayfin's free tools, the Grayfin Tarpon line:

• Receptionist Builder, a connector for AI apps that drafts phone receptionist scripts and estimates what missed calls may cost;
• Holiday & Hours Notices, a connector that lists holidays and writes closure notices (coming soon);
• our downloadable skills, pixel-art and latam-smb-copy.

The tools are free, need no Grayfin account and are meant for business use. By using a tool you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

Paid products, such as Siren, Reef and Cast, are covered by the terms shown when you buy them, not by these terms.

3. Outputs are yours to review

The tools produce drafts: scripts, estimates, notices, copy and images. Check every output before you use it, and make sure it is accurate, lawful and right for your business. You decide what to use, and you're responsible for what you publish, send or tell your customers. Receptionist Builder only writes text: Grayfin does not monitor or respond to calls made with its scripts.

You keep any rights you have in what you enter, and you may use the outputs for your business. Grayfin keeps its rights in the tools, templates, software and brand. Skills that come with their own license (for example, MIT) may be used under that license.

4. General information, not advice

Tool outputs are for general information only. They are not legal, financial, tax, labor or payroll advice.

For Holiday & Hours Notices: Dates and rules from the cited laws, for general information only. This is not legal, labor or payroll advice. State and local rules, contracts and collective agreements may differ; check with an accountant or labor lawyer before deciding pay or closures.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the tools to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• create spam, fraud, impersonation, or scripts that collect sensitive information from callers;
• overload, probe or interfere with the service, or get around its limits;
• present a tool's output as advice from Grayfin.

Don't enter personal information about your customers, or payment, health or government ID data. We may limit or block use that breaks these terms or harms the service.

6. AI apps you use

You use our connectors and skills inside AI apps run by other companies, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Grok or Cursor. Those companies' own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their apps, and they may keep what you type. Grayfin doesn't control how an AI app reads, changes or presents a tool's output.

7. Provided as-is

The tools are free and are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except where the law does not allow these exclusions.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of the tools or their outputs. Our total liability for anything related to the free tools is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

9. Changes and discontinuation

We may change, pause or stop any tool or feature at any time. We may also update these terms. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using a tool after that, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection laws that cannot be waived where you live.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what the tools receive and keep. If you are in Mexico, our aviso de privacidad (in Spanish) also applies.
